Burg woman arrested on multiple drug charges

WHEELERSBURG — A Wheelersburg woman was arrested on Feb. 24, 2016, according to reports from Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware.

Emily S. Anderson, 37, of Gephart Road was taken into custody on an indictment warrant to arrest for multiple drug charges.

Law enforcement reports reveal that detectives from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force arrested Anderson on a drug trafficking case that had been presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury by the task force and the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office.

A search warrant was executed by Task Force at Anderson’s residence Gephart Road home. Detectives seized 15 grams of heroin, seven grams of methadone, digital scales and approximately $1,800 cash.

Anderson was indicted on multiple counts of felony heroin trafficking and possession, including trafficking within the vicinity of a school, as well as possessing criminal tool and endangering children.

Anderson was lodged in the Scioto County Jail and is waiting to be arraigned in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
