SOUTH SHORE, Ky. — Reed Family Funeral located downtown Greenup, Ky. has expanded its services to South Shore, Ky. with the opening of Crockett L. Reed Funeral at 258 Biggs Lane on Feb. 2, 2016.
The Reed family has rendered services to families for 30 years, and are continuing a tradition of accommodating families in times of bereavement with services that are affordable.
Crockett L. Reed said their funeral homes are family owned and operated.
“We opened on February 2nd. We are family owned, and locally owned, and we have the lowest prices in the area,” Reed said. “The last one to get licensed is my brother, and then that will make the whole family. My family has been in business for 30 years, and we are from Greenup County.”
The first priority of Crockett L. Reed Funeral Home is providing affordable services to the families they serve.
“Providing good service to families is what is most important for us, to give as good of services as we can possibly at an affordable price to make it easier on them,” he said.
The hours of operation for Crockett L. Reed Funeral Home 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“We are open from nine to five. I actually live at this location, and then my brother has an apartment at the other funeral home, so there is someone at both of the locations all of the time,” he said.
Crockett L. Funeral Home offers funeral services, visitations, embalming, cremation, and monuments.
Being a family-owned business is something that sets them apart from other funeral homes in the area.
“I don’t think that there is anybody else in the area like that, and it is extremely important to us,” he said. “It makes it nice, and it makes it a lot easier too.”
