Waverly woman hurt in crash

A Waverly woman has been injured in a single-vehicle crash. Christina Lyming, of Waverly, was hurt around 6:58 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the Portsmouth Dispatch Center received a call about a one vehicle injury crash on Blain Highway near U.S. 23.

The OSHP says a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Lyming was southbound on the Blain Highway when she drove left of center and over corrected her vehicle. Lyming then slid off the right side of the road striking an embankment and a sign. Her vehicle then overturned.

With Lyming in the vehicle were her children – Shawna age 14, Austin age 11 and Alex age 10.

Lyming suffered non-life threatening injuries. She and her children were transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center. The children were not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
