Waverly – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single motorcycle injury crash that occurred on State Route 772 at milepost 21 in Pike County. On October 11, 2015 at 11:08PM, The Portsmouth Dispatch Center received a report of a single motorcycle crash on State Route 772 just outside of Waverly.

A 2000 Honda Motorcycle operated by Ron Raybourn, 63 of Waverly, was traveling northbound on State Route 772 when Mr. Raybourn’s motorcycle struck a dog. Mr. Raybourn was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Mr. Raybourn was air lifted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus Ohio due to injuries sustained in the crash. On October 16, 2015, the Chillicothe Post was notified by Franklin County Coroner Office that Mr. Raybourn had succumbed to his injures from result of the traffic crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
