Embattled Portsmouth City Manager Derek Allen tendered his resignation Monday, possibly ending a months-long feud with city council.
John Haas, City Solicitor, confirmed the resignation was tendered and said it will be up to city council to accept Allen’s resignation at tonight’s meeting in order for it to become effective.
Allen was suddenly terminated in December 2017 and reinstated in late January after council was served an injunction following two mediation sessions failed to result in an agreement between the parties.
