There are many charitable organizations that need help and the group PALS is one organization that is willing to help, if they can. These ladies go above and beyond to reach out to the community and lend a helping hand.

The Portsmouth Area Ladies Inc. (PALS) held at luncheon meeting Tuesday at Oscar’s in Portsmouth. There were sixteen ladies in attendance for the meeting. The group discussed PALS business and upcoming events like Purse Bingo event on March 18, 2018. They then voted to issue grants to three different organizations in the community:The Friends of Greenlawn Cemetery, The Portsmouth Rotary Club, and SOMC Hospice. Following the meeting, the groups receiving the grants stayed to have photos taken.

The PALS mission statement states they will engage in fundraising events and activities using volunteers to support charitable needs and organizations that will improve the quality of life and the changing needs of the residents in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. PALS will cooperate with other not-for-profit organizations when appropriate, and address the needs of community children which are not being met by other organizations. The Portsmouth Area Ladies Inc. (PALS) is a 501C3 organization.
