ADAMHS Goes Down

The Proposed Tax Levy (Additional) Scioto County ADAMHS that needed a majority affirmative vote necessary for passage, went down with 4989 (38.17 percent) For and 8083 (61.38 percent) Against, with all precincts in.

It was to be an additional tax for the benefit of the joint county alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health service district for the purpose of current expenses by the Adams, Lawrence, Scioto Counties Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board, and was set at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounted to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2017, and was first due in calendar year 2018.
