As of Aug. 1, 2015, Hill View Retirement Center completed their newest Villa. The three bedroom, 2,200-square-foot single family brick home is equipped with luxurious finishes, and is ready for occupancy by a senior citizen or citizens.

Angela Adams, outreach director at Hill View, said they are elated about offering the new Villa to the community.

“We are just delighted to have the opportunity to provide our new villa to the community, and this is our first one, so it is kind of like a new entry into our cottage layouts which we have on our property,”Adams said. “We have cottages, but this one here is different in that we have equipped it with all higher end finishes. The concept of it, when you first come in, is that you have this nice bathroom that can serve as what they call, Jack and Jill doors, they are pocket doors here, so that you can come in from the garage door, from the front door to the bathroom. Also, from the bathrooms, this would be the primary bathroom for those bedrooms which are right across the hallway, so it is a nice concept.”

The first room on the left of the villa has multiple possibilities for use.

“This is the action room that could be one of several,” she said. “It could be a bedroom, because it does have a closet, but it does have these French doors on here so that you can utilize this space as a home office, or a study, another din, or a little get-away room. For a retired couple that don’t have children any more living with them, this space could serve as any of those that I just spoke of.”

The new Villa is a single family private home, that includes a spacious yard and back patio. 9 ft. ceilings, two-three bedrooms, one master ensuite with walk-in closet, study, generously sized great room concept, sunroom, two full baths with alabaster ceramic wall tiles and corian counters, spacious laundry room with counter top space for organizing.

Other amenities of the new villa includes rich wood-look vinyl flooring and beautiful Anderson Windows compliment the neutral gray tones wall color. The professional design is a sophisticated, open layout that compliments the active senior lifestyle. This one-level home includes a fully equipped open kitchen including stainless appliances, wine cooler, beautiful maple cabinetry with coconut/gray stone glaze with marine glass & stone blend mosaic squares backsplash, black pearl granite surface counters, with an open great room adjacent with vaulted ceiling and eyebrow window. A perfect setting for relaxing and entertaining. And is equipped with a over-sized 2-car garage.

“This could be a space, literally, that someone who is a senior, 55 or older, that is still entertaining, and is open to the living area that if they did still entertaining as a couple, or an individual, it is just designed for that,” she said.

Other advantages of the new villa according to Adams, is that it is conveniently located off Coles Boulevard and close to grocery shopping, hospital, downtown and restaurants.

The villa is also a maintenance free and utility free living, which includes lawn care and snow removal.

She said Hill View covers all maintenance issues, right down to replacing a burned out light bulb. However, if you enjoy gardening, you can certainly do your own flower planting….. Or, you can pick out the flowers and our maintenance department will plant them for you…where you want them.

Additionally, the new villa offers optional use of HV dining room accommodations and our private Casual Corner facility, fee-free weekly fitness classes, catering services, and a stunningly beautiful walking path around our pond, with all types of trees and vegetation along the path for residents to enjoy.
