Red hat ladies are coming to Portsmouth

Staff Report

The Red Hat Society is a global society of women that supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness.

The Rambling Roses Chapter is inviting ladies from all over to come to Portsmouth for a luncheon, Saturday, Sept. 30. The American Legion at 705 Court St. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. Scioto Ribber will cater with desserts by 83 Sweets. Steve Free and Charles Vaughn, a local Elvis impersonator, will entertain.

A Red Hat vendor, Barbara Leonard will be on site with LeLe’s Boutique. There will be a 50/50 drawing and a silent auction to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Scioto County.

Joining the Red Hat Society fulfills life, love and legacy because you become a real member, not just a woman in a red hat. You help to make sure the RHS is still around when you are 100. As a member you can talk to a person at Hatquarters, 714/738-0001 or call toll free 866/ FUN-AT-50 in US. You can legally use RHS graphics on personal stationery and it is only $20 a year.

This event is $35 for registered members of the Red Hat Society and $55 for those wanting to join and come for this day. The deadline is Sept. 15. Please contact RaeJean Wagner at 740 357-0127 or rjwagner47@columbus.rr.com for information. We have our own Facebook page. Check us out at Rambling Roses of Portsmouth. Hope to hear from you so come join us for a fun day!
