Man dead in motorcycle accident

A fatal motorcycle collision has left one man dead, after crashing his bike into a nearby home.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Bryon Underwood II, 25, of Portsmouth, died in a motorcycle accident in the 1900 block of Kinneys Lane in Portsmouth. Underwood was married with young children.

According to a release, officers determined Underwood had been speeding at the time of the accident. He entered into a curve, lost control of his bike, went airborne and then collided with the brick porch of a Kinneys Lane home.

Underwood was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck remains under investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department, who is expected to release further details at a later date.
