American Legion 471 wins District 7 of Ohio and National Award Winners

American Legion Post 471 member Chandler Hatfield won the Good Deed Award for the post. Hatfield is an honor student, a BETA Club member, and part of an active duty military family.


The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 471 won state and national awards from District 7 (group 3) by taking home top honors in Americanism, Children & Youth, and Community Service, and tied for first place with Unit 14 Bainbridge Junior Activities. Additionally, Post 471 obtained second place in the Seventh District in VAR, which is Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation.

Post 471’s new appointed Junior President, Chandler Hatfield, won the National Good Deeds award. Hatfield attends Worthington Elementary School and is an honor student in the BETA Club. She is part of an active duty military family. She volunteers at school, nursing homes and in the community.
