Morning tornado warning

Edge of the storm entering from West Portsmouth Scioto River Bottoms


Shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017, the Portsmouth sirens were blaring a Tornado warning. Heavy rain and strong winds tore through Scioto County coming from the west. Daily Times staff were traveling west bound on SR 52 when the hail hit making driving hazardous. National Weather Service out of Wilmington, Ohio, has issued flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings and watches throughout the remainder of the day.
