The Daily Times is awaiting a callback from Portsmouth Fire Chief Bill Raison as to why several firetrucks were called to Horizon House at 700 Second Street in Portsmouth Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly after arrival, several firefighters emerged from the building and one of the trucks returned to the station.

It is not believed to have been serious but it is not known if it was a false alarm or the actual problem was under control quickly.

Two trucks remained at the scene as well as an assistant chief’s car.

The Times put in a call to Raison, but was not able to immediately contact him.
