On Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2:30 p.m., a New Boston police officer conducted a traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue. It was during that stop the officer said he found the driver to be Colley. He was arrested for driving under a suspended license and expired registration.
During a search, officers said they found drug paraphernalia items and 18 grams of heroin with a street value of around $1500 dollars.
Colley was transported to the New Boston Police Department where he was charged with aggravated possession of heroin a felony of the second degree. Colley appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court On Monday (Feb. 27). Captain Steve Goins said the case will be presented to the Scioto County grand jury where additional drug charges could be added to the criminal case.
