WHAT IS YOUR FONDEST COOKING MEMORY? Dr. Cook—I remember making Thanksgiving dinner with my Nana every year. I would spend the night with her and get up early to prepare the turkey in the brine water and stuff it. I loved cooking with Nana! Dr. Stidham—I vividly remember burning a large hole in my parent’s floor, attempting to make grilled cheese. I then attempted to hide it beneath a rug but, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. #Busted

HOW LONG HAVE YOUR LIVED/WORKED IN THE COMMUNITY?

Dr. Cook—I’ve been in the area for 3 years. Dr. Stidham—I grew up in Scioto County; and am a native of Lucasville.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Dr. Cook—I love steak! Dr. Stidham—My favorite food is strawberry rhubarb pie.

WHAT OR WHO INSPIRES YOU TO DO GOOD, AND WHY? Dr. Cook—Children have always inspired me. They have such big hearts and are so giving. I wish we were all more like them! Dr. Stidham—Kids! I love their optimism and, unfortunately for my wife, I inspire to be one.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE CELEBRITY CHEF DINNER? Dr. Cook—I’m thrilled to be able to give back to the great community we have come to call home. Dr. Stidham—I really enjoy working with the kids at the 14th Street

Community Center during the Summer Outreach Club and doing Grossolegy with them, this is one of my favorite local programs… And Sam can’t be trusted to do this alone. HaHa!

DO YOU KNOW WHAT APPETIZER YOU WILL BE MAKING AND IF SO, WHAT IS IT? Yes, we’ll be making diaper dips, samplings of chili con queso dip and guacamole dip with tortilla chips. What a perfect taste of Mexico.
