SW man arrested for attempted murder in weekend shooting

SOUTH WEBSTER— Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman states that at about 1:45 p.m., Saturday, February 17, a female called requesting a deputy standby while she retrieved items from her residence in South Webster. The caller said she wanted the deputy to standby because she and her ex-boyfriend were involved in a disturbance the night before in Jackson County.

NEW BOSTON— A Thursday evening crash into a New Boston residence took the life of a Franklin Furnace man.

PORTSMOUTH- Hal Morris, former Cincinnati Reds first baseman and 1990 World Series Champion, took center stage as the keynote speaker at the 18th Annual Portsmouth Murals Baseball Banquet held at the Morris University Center of Shawnee State University.

This project provides outreach to and enrollment assistance for individuals who may be eligible for the Low-Income Subsidy (“Extra Help”) and/or Medicare Savings Program.
