FOOTBALL
Greenup 28, Russell 6
When Greenup beat Russell 28-6 on Saturday, quarterback Mason Rister only attempted one pass, and it shocked the Red Devils.
The game was just one minute and 45 seconds old when Rister scooted backwards from his own 30 and spotted Jordan Hamilton streaking behind the Russell Secondary. He threw a perfect spiral. Jordan gathered it in at the Russell 25 and streaked untouched into the endzone for a 70-yard touchdown.
Wade Reed booted his first of four extra points for a 7-0 lead and the Musketeers were on their way to a win over Russell, it's first in 10 years over the Red Devils in what's come to be known as the "Backyard Brawl."
