SSU Sports Report
Shawnee State men’s soccer has announced the signing of defender Devin Tulley. Tulley comes to Shawnee State from Cuyahoga High School. He is the younger brother of current Shawnee State player Alex Tulley. The elder Tulley has played in 26 matches, making 14 starts for the Bears in his first two years with the Bears.
While at Cuyahoga High School, Devin Tulley was a three-year letterwinner playing as the team’s center back. He also served as team captain during both his junior and senior seasons. Tulley was named All-Conference during his senior season as he captained the team to its first conference championship in 20 seasons. As a junior, he was named honorable mention all-conference.
“Devin will be a defender, he has great size and is a physical player who will add depth to our defense,” state Head Coach Ron Goodson. ” We are excited to add Devin to the roster, he is familiar with our program and style of play, having been around watching his brother Alex the past two seasons.”
Off the field, Tulley was a member of his high school’s Marketing and Management Class. He placed second at the Greater Cleveland Junior Achievement Company competition. He plans to put these skills to use by majoring in Marketing while at Shawnee State. Tulley is the son of Jamie and Gary Tulley.
