Zack Phillips had 11 points and Mason Pelphrey added 10 as Clay earned a 58-18 SOC I win Tuesday over Green.


Cole Gilliland grabbed eight rebounds in the victory. Trent Marcum finished with nine points to lead the Bobcats.


The Panthers complete their regular season this weekend with a pair of home games, Friday against SOC I foe Western and Saturday against Northwest in a nonconference affair. Green entertains New Boston in Friday’s regular season finale.

Drew Scarberry went for 33 points and 11 rebounds as visiting Northwest beat New Boston 73-39 in Tuesday’s nonconference action.

Ben LaJoye added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Mohawks. Tyler Shonkwiler had 12 points and Parker Steele added 10 for the Tigers.

Northwest welcomes South Webster Friday then makes the short trek Saturday to Clay. New Boston entertains Symmes Valley Wednesday and visits Green Friday to close SOC I play.

J.D. Widdig’s 12 points along with 11 from Dylan Miller and 10 from Jacob Spradlin guided Wheelersburg to a 53-29 nonconference victory Tuesday over Greenup County (KY).

Jherrell Jackson and Brandon Johnson each had eight for the Musketeers. The Pirates finish SOC II play Friday when Waverly comes to town.

Justin Fultz tied for the game high in scoring and Trace Creech finished with a double-double as host Eastern defeated Ironton St. Joseph Tuesday 49-36 in Tuesday’s noconference tilt.

Fultz had 15 points and six rebounds while Creech recorded 14 points, 15 rebounds and six steals. The Eagles can clinch at least a share of the SOC I Friday with a win at Notre Dame.

Shane Zimmerman finished with 11 points and nine rebounds while Alek Blevins chipped in with 11 points in the victory. The Jeeps hit the road Friday against Northwest before welcoming West Saturday to end regular season play.

Sky Oliver had 19 points to lead the Trojans while Ky’re Allison added 11. Portsmouth can guarantee at least a share of the SEOAL Friday with a home win over Gallia Academy.

South Webster bounced back from Monday’s loss at Oak Hill with a 51-43 SOC II win Tuesday at Northwest.

Cheyenne Weakley had a game-high 16 points while Courtney Blanton chipped in with 12 points and Kacie Hall added 11. Darbie Jenkins had 10 to pace the Mohawks.

With their regular season in the books, the Jeeps will relax until Saturday’s sectional final at Meigs against either South Gallia or Trimble. Northwest will take on Chillicothe in Saturday’s sectional final.
