The Scioto County Commissioners met in regular session for the first time in 2014 on Tuesday morning to discuss a number of items.
Typically the commissioners meet at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays. On this Tuesday, however, the opening of the courthouse was delayed two hours, due to the weather. The delay prompted the meeting to be delayed by two hours. Commissioner Skip Riffe was absent from the meeting.
On the agenda for Commissioners Mike Crabtree and Doug Coleman to consider were approving a contract between the Scioto County Sheriffs office and Porter Township Trustees concerning deputies patrolling township roadways.
Commissioners Coleman and Crabtree also approved the re-appointment of Paige Williams as a member of the Law Library Resource Center Board.
The commissioners also received communication from the Community Action Organization and Workforce Connections concerning a data sharing and confidentiality agreement.
Other action taken by the commissioners include, accepting communication from the Ohio Development Services Agency regarding a grant, requesting an amended certificate from the budget commission, approving payment of various funds, moral obligations and then and now certificates.
The commissioners are scheduled to meet in regular session on Thursday to consider a number of items.
