Host Valley showed its depth once again Saturday night as 11 players cracked the scoring column in a 66-45 home nonconference win over Chillicothe Huntington.


Hayden Dunn led the Indians with 14 points and eight rebounds while Chris Flowers added 13 points. Bryan Rolfe pulled down seven rebounds and Zach Shope finished with five steals in the win.


West 58, Rock Hill 19

Michael Hafer’s game-high 25 points lifted West to a 58-19 nonconference win Saturday at Rock Hill.

Michael Davis added 13 in the win for the Senators.

Peebles 83, Eastern 58

Beau Justice eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career in the third quarter of Peebles’ 83-58 nonconference win Saturday over visiting Eastern.

The junior — who sits at 1,014 points — finished with a game-high 29 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory. Eric Schmitz had a career-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds and Cody Ireton chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds for the Indians. Josh Thacker led the Eagles with 21 points while Ben Hesson added 14 in the loss.

Ironton St. Joseph 67, New Boston 32

Host New Boston left Saturday’s nonconference game with Ironton St. Joseph still in search of its first win after the Flyers left with a 67-32 victory.

Tyler Shankwiler led the Tigers with seven points.
