All Saints Episcopal Church, on Court Street in Portsmouth, will host two Christmas Eve services to celebrate the season, and is inviting the community to participate. All Saints’ new Rector, the Reverend Stephen J. Cuff, said Christmas is about remember Christ.
“What I love most about celebrating Christmas is remembering that God arrives in an imperfect world to bring healing and peace. The beauty of the worship, and the music and that beauty story from Luke’s Gospel bring incredible comfort into our lives.
This is Cuff’s first Christmas with All Saints, and he said he is very excited.
“This being our first Christmas with All Saints we’re really excited to be apart of the Parrish, and gathering together. We are really happy,” he said.
All Saints has scheduled two Christmas Eve services, the first will convene at 4 p.m., and the second at 10:30 p.m. The services will include communion, Christmas carols, the beloved story of the birth of Jesus from Luke’s Gospel, and sermon offered by All Saints new Rector, the Rev. Stephen J. Cuff.
The 10:30 p.m. service will include the full choir under the direction of Mr. Justin Wiget. A choral prelude will transpire at 10:15 p.m.
