Depth aids South Webster to 62-42 win

Eleven players cracked the scoring column for South Webster Thursday in 62-42 home SOC II win over West.


Only Kimber Johnson reached double digits for the Jeeps, finishing with a team-high 10 points. Taylor Conley’s game-high 11 points and 10 from McKenzie Whittaker paced the Senators in the setback.


South Webster hits the road Monday to face Northwest. West will play in Saturday’s Lady Rockets Classic against host Wellston.


Valley 61, Waverly 36

Three players reached double figures Thursday for Valley in a 61-36 SOC II home win over Waverly.

Taylor Skaggs led all scorers with 16 points while Lexie Doddridge added 15 points and six steals while Bethany Conley chipped in with 11 in the win. Kilee Perdue paced the Tigers with eight points.

The Indians travel Monday to Minford. Waverly will host Wheelersburg.

Wheelersburg 46, Northwest 31

Sydney Holden and Kalle Coleman each poured in 16 points as visiting Wheelersburg claimed a 46-31 SOC II win over Northwest.


Holden also finished with 11 rebounds in the win. Darbie Jenkins paced the Mohawks with 11 while K’Lee McClurg added 10.


The Pirates travel Saturday to Wellston to take on Greenup County (KY) as a part of the Lady Rocket Classic. Northwest travels Monday to South Webster.


Oak Hill 39, Minford 35

Host Oak Hill survived a late push Thursday from Minford to post a 39-35 SOC II win, keeping the Oaks unbeaten in their overall and conference records.

Abby Haislop led the victors with a game-high 13 points. The Falcons were led by a 10-point performance from Carrie Wynn.

Oak Hill takes on Warren Saturday as a part of the Wellston Lady Rocket Classic. Minford returns home Monday to entertain Valley.

SOC I

Notre Dame 58, Symmes Valley 49

Brooke Pierron’s game-high 25 points along with a baker’s dozen from Ragen Kayser lifted Notre Dame to a 58-49 SOC I road win over Symmes Valley.

Kalli Hunt led the Vikings with 22 while Elly Fulks chipped in with 15. The Titans travel Monday to Eastern while Symmes Valley ventures Saturday to Wellston to play Whiteoak in the Lady Rocket Classic.

Eastern 59, Western 34

Eastern kept pace in the SOC I with Clay Thursday night with a 59-34 home win over Pike County foe Western.

Kayla Alley led the Eagle attack with a game-high 20 points while Carson Roney and Hailey Stanley each had 14 in the win. Chrissy Woods had a dozen for the Indians.

Eastern entertains Notre Dame Monday. Western welcomes the other conference unbeaten, Clay, Monday night.

NONCONFERENCE

Greenup County (KY) 58, Ironton 46

Three players reached double figures Thursday for host Greenup County (KY) in a 58-46 win over Ironton.

Sydney Webb and Haley Valandingham each had 15 points while Micah Leslie chipped in with 13 in the win. Lexie Barrier had 14 in a losing effort.

The Musketeers travel to Wellston Saturday to face Wheelersburg in the Lady Rocket Classic while the Fighting Tigers take on Coal Grove Monday.
