RUSSELL, Ky. — For those who are seeking a spooky adventure during the Halloween season are invited to experience Terror by the Tracks and Fall Festival.
Sponsored by the Russell Downtown Business Association, “Terror by the Tracks” will take place Thursday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. both nights. The Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 6 p.m. Both events will take place at the Downtown Russell Train Depot.
Mike Jones, a member of the Russell Downtown Business Association, said they are hopeful for a good turnout.
“The Shriners have a train that they use for parades and so forth, and will are going to use that as a haunted train ride. We just want the people to come out,” Jones said.
The cost for train rides is $3 per person. Admission is free to the public for the Fall Festival.
The festival will offer inflatables, food, music and games, including a cornhole tournament on Saturday at noon.
There will be live music performed by Nivlla RED.
According to Jones, all proceeds raised from Terror by the Tracks, and the Fall Festival will go to the All Aboard Russell non-profit organization.
“This is our first attempt at something like this, and we are expecting to have a great time. There will be fun for everyone,” Jones said.
