Greenup Habitat to host last Cruise-In event of year

FLATWOODS, Ky. — Greenup County Habitat for Humanity will host its final McCruise of 2013 on Friday, Oct. 11, at McDonald’s located at 2133 Argillite Road.

According to Rhonda Nunley, president of Greenup County Habitat for Humanity, the McCruise-In event will have a Halloween theme featuring a costume contest at 7 p.m. and trick or trunk.

A special raffle will be held that evening on a hand painted pumpkin.

Registration for participating cars, trucks, motorcycles and any other type of vehicles will take place at 6 p.m. for a donation of $5.00.

All makes, models and years of vehicles are welcome.

Door prizes include $25 John Clark Oil gas gift cards, with one card given away every 15 minutes from 7 to 9 p.m. for those who register a vehicle. Also, 50/50 tickets will be sold with the drawing held at 9 p.m.

Nunley said all money raised from the event helps provide housing and home repairs for low income families who are selected to partner with GCHFH.
