West claims second SOC II golf match

Jordan Tieman’s round of 37 paced West to a team score of 169 and victory in the second SOC II match of the season.

Wheelersburg finished second with a 182 at Shawnee State Golf Course as the Pirates were led by Mitchell McFarland’s 38. A score of 43 by Daniel Heffner gave Waverly a score of 187 for third.

Northwest checked in at fourth place with a score of 205 as the Mohawks’s Chris Hoffer shot a 49 his team’s low score. Darby High’s 46 was the best score for Valley, which shot a 208 for fifth. Minford finished sixth as Matt Parker’s 45 paced the Falcons.

The third SOC II matches will be Monday and Tuesday at Little Scioto.

Dylan Amburgey’s second half hat trick led Northwest to a 3-0 win Thursday over Clay.

The Panthers host Piketon Tuesday.
