One adult and one juvenile have been arrested in connection to thefts at a deer camp in Scioto County. Arrested were Tiger Joe Cooper, 19, of Gephart Road, Wheelersburg, and the juvenile. Cooper was charged with breaking and entering and theft and has been arraigned and had a pre hearing in Portsmouth Municipal Court. He waived charges to the grand jury. The Juvenile will be processed through Juvenile Court.

On Aug. 23, 2013 The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office took a report where someone had entered private property and had taken several items valued at more than $2,000 from a deer camp. Donini said the camp sits back off of Ohio 335 and is very secluded, and has been broken into before several times. However, this time the owner had installed deer cameras and Donini said the thieves were recorded in “pristine quality in the very act.” After reviewing the cameras detectives said they were able to identify a truck and the owner of the truck along with his juvenile accomplice. Donini said both were located and arrested and he said they gave back all the property that they had stolen from the camp.

Donini credited the quick arrest to the land owner’s camera photos quality, detectives and deputies working the case.

Donini said anyone with information about the case should contact detective Denver Triggs at 740-355-8245. All calls are kept confidential.
