A thief or thieves who took several items including a large amount of money from a Scioto County business tried to use that company’s own equipment to gain access to more money.

Valley Tractor Sales, 10549 Ohio 104, in Lucasville, reported to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday that someone broke into their business and took night vision game cameras valued at $300; a .32 caliber revolver valued at $350; $1,400 cash, and damaged a door valued at $100.

In addition to taking those items, thieves broke into the garage next door to use the air pressure to run a plasma torch, which they took from inside the store, to try to cut into the safe. According to the report, the hose was stretched from the garage to the store area.
