Traffic stop nets cocaine arrests

Crack Cocaine with a street value of nearly $14,000 has been confiscated and three people arrested as the result of a traffic stop. William J. Hawk, 24, Jermonte M. Fletcher, 31, and Asia A. McCall, 18, all of Columbus are facing charges of possession of crack cocaine and trafficking of crack cocaine. Both charges are felonies of the first degree.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said they stopped a 2007 Dodge Charger on U.S. 23 southbound, near Rosemount, at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation. Troopers observed what they said were criminal indicators and the subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately five ounces of crack cocaine. The street value of is approximately $13,775. The suspects were incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
