SCIOTOVILLE — Frontier Communications continues to expand its advanced broadband technology, extending services to residences and businesses in the Sciotoville area. Frontier expanded broadband services to 700 customers in Franklin Furnace last summer, and widened its services in the City of Portsmouth last month.

Dave George, general manager for Frontier, said Frontier’s enhanced network may provide residential customers access to service of up to 25 megabits per second (Mbps) through Frontier’s Broadband Ultra and Ultimate services. Businesses may have access to service of up to 40 Mbps. Frontier also offers speeds up to 1 Gigabit through its Ethernet platform.

“As we strengthen our broadband network, residential and business customers have access to the Internet speeds they want,” George said. “Our enhanced speeds are available to residential customers, but we also are delivering Ethernet services to local businesses and providing a new level of service for them.”

Residents can contact Frontier at 1-800-921-8101, and businesses can call 1-888-535-4453 to determine whether they are eligible for the increased broadband speeds.
