Titans keep lead in SOC I race with win over Panthers

With 17 points and four steals on the night, Kevin Lewis led the Notre Dame Titans to a 56-24 home win over SOC I foe Clay in Friday’s action.


JP Kayser had 11 points and eight assists while Michael Mader added 10 for the win. Eldin Sarajlic, whose free throw miss at the end of the second overtime allowed Michael Schmidt to make the game-winning putback to defeat Green 67-66 in Tuesday’s outing, led the Panthers with 10.


The Titans travel Tuesday to Symmes Valley. Clay visits New Boston.

Ky’re Allison’s game-high 24 points helped host Portsmouth jump into a second place tie with Logan as the Trojans defeated the Chieftains 69-66 in Friday’s SEOAL play.

Jayllen Carter had 14 points and Isiaha Lisath chipped in with 11. Portsmouth visits Piketon in Saturday night’s nonleague action.

Austin McBee had 27 points, Cody Stapleton finished with 15 and Jared McCray pulled down 18 rebounds as host Minford came back from a 33-20 halftime deficit to post a 61-52 SOC II win over West.

JB Travis led the Senators with 18 and Michael Hafer added 14 as they were outscored 41-19 in the second half. The Falcons will host conference co-leader Oak Hill Tuesday. West will entertain South Webster.
