Commissioners start year with full agenda

The Scioto County Commissioners held their first meeting of 2013 Tuesday with a packed agenda awaiting action. Tuesday’s meeting was the first for newly elected republican commissioners Doug Coleman and Mike Crabtree.

One of the items on the agenda was the reappointment of members to the children’s services board. The commissioners approved various contracts between the sheriff’s office and various townships and the commissioners accepted 2013 inventories.

The commissioners also approved executed copies of transcripts of proceedings for the Eden Park Sewer Systems.

In addition to the previous items, the commissioners also passed a resolution entering into an agreement with the state of Ohio, Development Services Agency to administer the counties housing revolving loan fund.

Among other items on Tuesday agenda included, requests to attend meeting, accepting invoices from Leighty & Snider for CHIP FY12 & FY12 Formula, the Southern Ohio Shelter sent in a request for fees and the commissioners are requesting an amended certificate from the budget commission.

The commissioners also past a resolution adding two parcels to the list of those that will be taken to court for necessary easements on the Minford Sewer Project. They also approved a 2013 inmate Health Care Services Agreement for the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

Also the commissioners adopted a resolution endorsing the Southern Ohio War Memorial.

The commissioners meeting is every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Scioto County Court House.
