The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attack of a young Scioto County woman. According to the offense report at the sheriff’s office, a 21-year-old woman from Coal Branch Hollow, Ironton, told authorities she was walking home around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, when an unknown subject, dressed completely in black, came from the shadows and kicked her in the abdomen, causing her to fall to the ground.

When deputies arrived, the young woman advised them she could not stand up and was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center by Green Township EMS.

When questioned, the woman told investigators one to three other subjects were also dressed completely in black and that she has no idea who they were.
