The Northend Ministerial Alliance will host a three-day Community Revival on Aug. 7-9 at the corner of 14th and Waller Streets, in Portsmouth. The services will begin at 6:30 p.m. nightly, and free school supplies will be distributed on the last day of the Revival to students from kindergarten to grade 12.

The Community Revival will live up to its name, as the organizing committee for the event is seeking out singers, and praise teams from local churches throughout the local community to participate in the praise and worship segments of the services.

“As an organization, we are not only concerned about the material needs of the youth and their parents, but believe that it is even more important to minister to their spiritual needs, which comes through the teaching and preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” said Rev. Clarence Parker, President of the Northend Ministerial Alliance.

A speaker will be featured each night to deliver a gospel message. The scheduled speakers will be Minister Vi Hill, of Kingdom Builders Evangelistic Ministries, Inc., Pastor Vincent Kennedy, Jr. of Living Faith Temple, and Elder Jo Ruth Jordan, of Grace and Mercy Fellowship of Columbus, Ohio.

The Northend Ministerial Alliance is still in need of donations, of backpacks, and any type of school supplies that individuals, churches, or organizations are willing to make. For more information regarding the Community Revival please contact Minister Vi Hill at 740-935-4078.
